Beta-i Portugal 2017 (Seminar 3 )

                                 Beta-i

Beta-i simply do inspiration through the organization of events around startups and innovation. At he beginning of seminar we learned some information about speaker. He he lived at a lot of places because of his father’s job. He lived in many countries. So he has strong network with people. He is physicist. He has worked at many places in his early age. Firstly, he started the work in Database company as a database manager but firstly he had limited information about job. Then he just bought a book and started on it. Eventually he did. He said that just start what you want and you will complete it. After that he started to work in Danone and he was brand manager. He developed himself there. He also went to Belgium and worked in Nokia and improved himself there. And then he returned to Portugal and founded one Start-up with 38 people from different field. They have worked on Beta Talks project. The purpose of this project is make faster the start-up progresses.

       30 new clients got involved with startups through our corporate programs.

There are some differences between SME and Startup:

-In SME we can divide the teams to departments but in Startup initially we can not do that. We can do in later times.

-SME create more value, less time, less money.

-It is possible to make changes in Startup but in big companies everything already organized and hard to make change.

                         

                           About Presentation

Personally I learned many things from this presentation. If we are determined about doing something we we will do that. Having connection with many people gives us large perspective. Especially for startup movements it is important issue that having strong network with community. Always we should care about idea because one idea can create effective solution for problem. The speakers English was very good, understandable and clear. This presentation taught me if one idea works in real life then you are encouraged to create more ideas.
